Frisco Reverse Osmosis Installation
An under-sink reverse osmosis system gives your kitchen its own faucet for the water you drink and cook with. Everything fits inside a single cabinet. Floors stay covered, we walk you through each part before it goes in, and the space is left clean when we go.
Filtered Water Where You Actually Drink It
Reverse osmosis pushes water through a very fine membrane that holds back dissolved minerals, salts and many trace contaminants. Most systems pair that membrane with carbon stages that take out chlorine taste and odor. What reaches your glass is clean, neutral-tasting water for coffee, ice, baby formula and cooking.
It is a point-of-use system, so it treats the water at one tap rather than your whole house. For many households that is the right scale. If you also want softer showers or less chlorine at every faucet, our whole-home filtration or water softeners pages explain how those work alongside an RO unit.
What Your Installation Includes
A walkthrough before any tools come out
We look under your sink with you, confirm where the tank and filters will sit, and point out where the faucet hole and drain connection will go. Nothing is drilled until you have agreed to the layout.
Protection for floors and cabinetry
We lay drop cloths from the door to the kitchen and line the cabinet floor before we start. Your cabinet base is often finished wood or laminate, and we treat it that way.
Dedicated drinking faucet
We mount a separate faucet on the sink deck or countertop. If a new hole is needed in stone, we discuss the finish and placement with you first.
Storage tank, filters and membrane
The pressurized storage tank keeps filtered water ready at the tap, so you are not waiting on the membrane each time you fill a glass. We set it where it is easy to reach when filters are due.
Optional refrigerator line
Many refrigerators with an ice maker or door dispenser can draw from the RO system too. We run a slim line from the cabinet to the back of the fridge, keep it out of sight, and check both ends for drips.
Supply and drain connections done properly
Installations are handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers. That means the cold-water tap, drain saddle and shutoff are fitted correctly the first time.
When an Under-Sink RO System Is Worth It
Bottled water is a weekly errand
Carrying cases home and stacking them in the pantry gets old. A dedicated RO tap puts water of that standard at your sink whenever you want it.
Tap water tastes of chlorine
City water is disinfected for good reason, but some people never get used to the taste. The carbon stages in an RO system remove it at the kitchen tap.
White spots on kettles and glassware
Mineral film on a kettle or coffee maker points to dissolved solids in the water. RO removes most of them from your drinking water.
Coffee and ice taste flat or off
Cloudy ice and dull coffee are often the first things people notice. Cleaner water changes both quickly.
You want extra assurance for your family
Some households simply want another layer of treatment for the water they drink. That is a reasonable choice, and RO is a well-proven way to get it.
How the Day Runs
- 1
Quote by phone
You tell us about your kitchen, your sink and any fridge line you want. We give you a quote and answer your questions plainly.
- 2
Arrival and setup
We introduce ourselves, lay floor protection and empty the cabinet with you so your things go somewhere safe and easy to find.
- 3
Fitting the system
The plumber taps the cold supply, adds a drain saddle, mounts the faucet and secures the tank and filter housing. Tubing is cut to length and kept clear of the garbage disposal.
- 4
Flush, test and check for leaks
New filters and membranes need flushing before first use. We run the system, check every fitting and let the tank fill.
- 5
Walkthrough and cleanup
We show you the filter change schedule and how to shut off the unit. Then we wipe down the cabinet, pick up every offcut and take our protection with us.
What Shapes the Price of an RO System
Your quote reflects your kitchen and the system you pick. Each part and each piece of labor gets its own line, so you can see exactly where the money goes. We offer standard professional installation included for qualifying homes, and while we talk through your sink and cabinet on the phone, we confirm whether your kitchen fits that offer.
- Number of filter stages
- Basic systems use a few stages. Others add remineralization or extra carbon, which changes the cost of the unit and future filters.
- Faucet and countertop
- Using an existing sprayer hole is simplest. Drilling quartz or granite takes more time and care.
- Refrigerator connection
- Running a line to the fridge adds tubing, fittings and labor, more so when the run is long.
- Cabinet space and layout
- A crowded sink base with a disposal and dishwasher lines may need a compact tank or careful routing.
Reverse Osmosis Questions
Something not covered here? (972) 895-9398
Does reverse osmosis waste water?
Yes, part of the water rinses the membrane and goes down the drain. Modern systems are far more efficient than older ones. We can walk you through the ratio for the models we offer.
How often do filters need changing?
Pre-filters and carbon filters are usually changed every 6 to 12 months, and the membrane less often. It depends on how much water you use. We show you the schedule on the day of installation.
Will it lower the water pressure at my main faucet?
No. The RO system feeds only its own faucet and, if you choose, the fridge. Your kitchen faucet keeps working as it does today.
Who does the plumbing, and is the work covered?
The supply and drain connections are made by the subcontracted plumbers who handle all of our installations. Installation-related defects are covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty. Separately, the manufacturer warrants valves for 5 years and tanks for 10 years.
Do you install in nearby towns?
Yes. Along with Frisco we work in Prosper, McKinney, Plano, Little Elm and the surrounding area. The process and care inside your home are the same wherever you live.
