Whole-Home Filtration in Frisco, Planned Around Your Household

A whole-home filter treats water as it enters your home, so the shower, the laundry and the kitchen tap all run without that chlorine taste or smell. We plan the location with you, cover the floors on the way in and explain each step before a valve is turned.

What a whole-home system does, and when it fits

We mount the system at the point where your supply pipe comes into the house, which in most homes means a garage wall. Water first passes a sediment stage that traps fine grit, then moves through a large tank of carbon media that strips out the disinfectant taste and odor most people notice. Every fixture after that point gets the same filtered water, from the upstairs shower to the hose bib on the patio.

It is the right call when the complaint is everywhere at once: the bathroom smells of chlorine, the ice tastes flat, the coffee never quite tastes right. If your concern is only the glass you drink from, an under-sink reverse osmosis unit may serve you better. If white crust on faucets and shower glass is the real annoyance, look at water softeners, because carbon does not remove hardness.

A water test and a short written report help sort that out before you choose. We would rather fit one system that matches your water than sell you two that overlap.

What the installation includes

A tank sized to your home

We size the tank and control valve to your bathrooms and peak use, so pressure holds when two showers and the dishwasher run together. The carbon is chosen to suit the disinfectant in your city supply.

Sediment pre-filter

A cartridge stage ahead of the carbon catches sand and pipe grit. It protects the main media and helps it last longer between changes.

Bypass and labeled shutoffs

Every system gets a bypass valve so water keeps flowing during service. Shutoffs are tagged so anyone in your home can find them.

Plumbing done by master-licensed plumbers

The cut-in to your main line is handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers. Fittings are matched to your existing pipe, and every joint is checked under pressure before we leave.

Floors and landscaping protected

We lay runners from the door to the work area and a drop cloth under the tank. If a line has to run outside, mulch and sod are lifted by hand and set back when the trench is closed.

Warranty in writing

Our 1-year workmanship warranty covers installation-related defects. The manufacturer covers the valve for 5 years and the tank for 10 years, and we walk you through both before you sign.

Signs a whole-home filter is worth a look

  • Bathrooms that smell of chlorine

Warm water lets chlorine escape as vapor, so a closed bathroom concentrates the smell during a shower. Treating water at the main line handles every shower in the house at once.

  • Ice and coffee taste off

If the fridge filter and a pitcher are not enough, the taste is coming in with the supply. Treating it before it reaches the kitchen fixes the source.

  • Filter cartridges all over the house

Pitchers, a shower-head filter, bottled water in the garage. One system on the main line can replace that routine with a single, scheduled change.

  • Grit in faucet screens

Small particles in aerators or a gray film in toilet tanks point to sediment. A pre-filter stage catches it before it wears on valves and appliances.

  • Dry skin after bathing

Many people notice their skin and hair feel better once the disinfectant is filtered out of bath and shower water. It is a common reason families choose whole-home over a single tap.

How installation day runs

  1. 1

A phone call and a water test

Start by calling us. We talk through what you notice, arrange a water test and give you a quote based on your home and the results.

  2. 2

    Walkthrough before any tools

On arrival we confirm where the tank will stand, show you where the line will be opened and agree on where boxes and tools will sit. Floor coverings go down first.

  3. 3

    Water off, system in

The plumber shuts the main, makes the connection, sets the bypass and fills the tank. We tell you before the water goes off and again when it is back on, so no one is caught mid-shower.

  4. 4

    Flush, check and clean up

We flush the new media, check every joint for drips and test pressure at the farthest tap. Coverings come up, packaging leaves with us, and we show you the bypass and the filter schedule.

What shapes the price of a whole-home system

Your quote depends on your home and your water, not on a fixed menu. Standard professional installation is included for qualifying homes, and we explain what that covers before work starts. These are the things that move the number.

Bathroom count and daily demand
A house with four baths and a busy morning routine needs a bigger tank and valve than a two-bath home. Going too small looks cheaper on the quote and shows up later as weak pressure at the shower.
Where the main line is
Many newer homes around Frisco have a loop pre-plumbed in the garage, which keeps the work simple. Without one, the plumber may need to run new pipe, sometimes outdoors.
Media and stages
A basic carbon tank costs less than one with a specialty carbon blend or an added sediment housing. Pairing the filter with a softener changes the layout and the parts list.
Upkeep over time
Sediment cartridges and, years later, carbon media are ongoing costs. We include the expected schedule in your quote so nothing comes as a surprise.

Whole-home filtration questions

Something not covered here? (972) 895-9398

Will a whole-home filter reduce pressure at my faucets?

When the tank and valve match the flow your home actually uses, most people never notice a difference. Trouble tends to come from undersized equipment or a pre-filter cartridge left in too long. We size for the busiest hour in your home and check pressure at the farthest tap before we pack up.

Does whole-home filtration soften water?

No. Carbon removes taste, odor and sediment but leaves calcium and magnesium in place. If scale is a concern, a water softener can be installed alongside the filter, and we can plan both on the same visit.

Do I still need reverse osmosis for drinking water?

Not always. Many households are happy with the taste once the whole-home filter is in. If you want an extra stage for drinking and cooking water, an under-sink reverse osmosis unit is a small addition at the kitchen sink.

How often does the system need service?

The sediment cartridge is usually changed a few times a year, depending on how much grit your water carries. The carbon tank lasts several years before the media is replaced. We leave a written schedule so you know what to expect.

Will the work mess up my garage or yard?

We cover the path from the door, put a drop cloth under the tank and clean the work area before we go. If an outdoor line is needed, mulch and sod are lifted by hand and replaced, and we show you the area before we pack up.
